Residencia Universitaria Resa Campus de Montilivi

The neighborhood is surprisingly quaint and pretty, in a very affluent area. For the price, I thought this was great value: the room had air conditioning, a TV, a decent shower, and a kitchen with a stovetop and fridge. There’s also an oven and microwave in the lounge, plus leisure options like table tennis, a pool table and a volleyball court. My only real gripe was the shower curtain, since there wasn’t a proper door.

We had a nice mountain view, and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean, had some cooking utensils, and the bathroom was tidy, though the shower area could use an update. The fridge is small and fine for a short stay, but its freezer won’t freeze anything. This works well if you’d rather stay outside the city centre and explore Catalonia or go hiking. There are parks close by for walks and a supermarket within walking distance, though it’s rather expensive and closes at 21:30. There are some leisure activities, as shown in my pictures, and a gym area that’s okay for maintaining muscle but not for a proper workout. Picnic tables are outside too. The hotel is open 24/7. It felt corona safe, with disinfectant at the entrance and temperatures taken when guests checked in. The staff were friendly and helpful, and always welcomed us inside. Considering the price, season and what was on offer, I recommend it and think it’s corona safe.

The receptionist was always smiling and very helpful. L1 serves the place, and gets you to the city centre in under 20 minutes. I liked the cosy feel, especially the reception hall, the table tennis and the terrace outside.

There was no soundproofing at all, so every noise in the hotel seemed to come from inside our room. The air conditioning sounded like an airplane, and the foam mattresses felt like camping beds. The toilet doors were broken and wouldn’t close. They didn’t even give us a shower mat to step onto.
