We drove to the hotel, and the manager said they'd pass our license plate details to the municipality. They never did, and we got fined for entering the city center. When we asked them for help, they ignored us completely. The customer service was terrible. Avoid this place.

Claudio at reception was very kind and welcoming, and he even let us keep using the parking beyond our allocated time. The Arte Vida is in a great central spot for seeing Granada. But we booked a room advertised with air conditioning because it was midsummer and 39° in this inland city. The AC didn't work at all. Reception closed at 3 p.m., so by the time we discovered the problem there was no chance to discuss it or make other arrangements. That night in the room was beyond uncomfortable. Looking through reviews afterward, I found this had apparently been going on for quite a while. The hotel has air conditioning, but it simply doesn't work, which is not good enough in a city that regularly gets so hot. We had thought about staying another night, then decided against it.

The apartment was dark and dreary, the towels and sheets were old and possibly dirty, and there were bugs, possibly bed bugs. The bedroom AC didn't work, and neither did the washing machine. The owner wouldn't honor our credit card booking and wanted payment a few days before arrival. Directions were hard to follow, and the parking spot was about the worst possible to reach in a midsize car. We left first thing the next morning, but they still charged us for two nights. Disgusting place. I don't recommend it.

The apartment was clean, roomy, and had all the amenities we needed. For me, location matters a lot, and this place checked every box, right in the heart of Old Granada. It's also very affordable. Staff sent clear directions and all the details ahead of time, which worked fine even though the desk is only staffed between 9 & 3.
