Bed bugs... The room was small and cozy, and the location was excellent. Parking costs 12 EUR, but the car park is so tight and the lights don’t work. Hire car companies must love it, since people probably lose their deposits there. Check-in service was good, with the receptionist staying an extra half hour to let us in. At night, I noticed something small crawling in the sheets. I jumped out of bed, took a photo, and stripped it. There were two bugs under the sheets with me and another dead one in the pillowcase. The sheets looked clean, so they must have come from the mattress. At checkout, I showed the receptionist a video and photos of them crawling around in the bed. He only said he’d tell the maid. I expected some kind of refund or to have the parking fee waived.

There’s no lift, so carrying a big suitcase would be difficult. The room had air conditioning and a small but tidy bathroom, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great, close to the cathedral, shopping streets, and the Alhambra.

The location and the friendly guy at check-in were the only positives. The room looked clean and nice, but the beds were awful, honestly the worst hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. My room was freezing too. The AC heater had no remote, and the small portable heater they brought barely worked. Even under four blankets, I was cold and uncomfortable on that bed with its metal springs from hell. It’ll do for one emergency night. With better beds and proper heating, this place would be much better.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and both check-in and check-out were easy. I had a balcony, an ensuite and a really comfortable bed. It’s a charming little hotel right in Granada’s historic centre, with reasonable rates for the area. Highly recommend it.
