Casas los Rosales

A comfortable place, and really clean.

The owner was great, really friendly. The area is quiet and parking is good. It’s only a few minutes’ walk to the center, though the location isn’t especially central. The apartment was clean, but the kitchen and bathroom could use some upkeep. I’d recommend it.

Guadix itself was wonderful, and the people there were kind and welcoming. The house was a different story: it was unhygienic and in terrible condition, and I can’t believe it’s offered to tourists. It nearly spoiled our holiday. The problems mentioned by earlier guests were still there. We had to unblock and disinfect the shower every couple of days because of the lack of hygiene. The advertising photos don’t show that the kitchen has no window or ventilation, or the bad smells from the drains and damp. The shower overflowed disgustingly, and the terrace was covered in bird droppings. The kitchen equipment was sparse and/or dirty, the mattresses were used and uncomfortable, and some chairs were unstable. At least Guadix and its people were still a pleasure.

Maria and her daughter were so friendly and helpful. The house was clean and well equipped, in a quiet area, and we could park right outside.
