The people around here were so welcoming, and Carlos III Boulevard has plenty of good bars and restaurants at very reasonable prices. We were in a ground-floor studio with a door straight onto the street and another way out to the plaza. It was spotless and had everything we needed, from a washing machine, microwave and toaster to a hairdryer, TV, air conditioning and a big fridge with freezer. There’s a supermarket on the corner, and the pharmacy, tobacconist, ice cream shop and Town Hall are all less than 50 meters away.

The town was full of friendly people, and we had a lovely five days there. Our hostel was clean and right in the center. A combination like that is hard to forget.
