The rest of the team were friendly, especially the older woman who handled the cleaning. But our first impression came from the receptionist, and it was awful. My partner is pregnant, and when we arrived we found our room on the first floor with no elevator. We hoped someone might help with our bags. The receptionist, a man in his forties, showed no reaction at all. No greeting, smile, or offer to help. His cold manner felt completely out of place in a customer service job. That rudeness overshadowed the kindness of the other staff. I found it hard to accept such a lack of empathy and professionalism in a line of work where guests matter. In countries with higher service standards, like Singapore, tourism training is required and customer care is taken seriously. Attitudes like this in Galicia hurt visitors’ experience and the region’s reputation. The hotel should make sure its staff treat guests with basic respect and kindness.

The staff were helpful, and you can walk to the bus station. The rooms were stuffy, though.

We got in at night and the reception staff’s simple English made the quick check-in much easier. The room had basic amenities and was good value for one night before our trip to Ferrol the next day. The bus station is a three-minute walk away.

The room was clean, which is about the only good thing I can say. After more than 50 nights in pensions, hotels, and hostals on the Camino Norte, this is one of the five worst places we stayed. The walls are paper thin, and it got noisy after 3 am. At midnight it sounded like someone was vacuuming in the next room. They wouldn’t give us the pass code to change the TV language, and they kept our key when we went out for the day, as if we couldn’t be trusted with it. I’ve never had anything like that in two months in Spain. I don’t know how this place got a three-star rating.
