Hotel Mar del Plata

Service was excellent and everyone was very kind. The rooms feel modern and fairly new, and there are several local restaurants to choose from, with a sports complex next door. The hotel is across from the bay, though a school in front blocks the view. It’s about 40 minutes from the train station.

The staff were so caring and attentive to what we needed, and some started to feel like family. There was a whole group of trade fair visitors staying at the hotel too. My room was small, but comfortable and pleasant, with an ocean view and a window I could actually open. Breakfast was just what I wanted: good muesli, ripe fruit, nice pastries and more. Such a cosy, friendly place, with lovely design.

We slept peacefully: the hotel is near the beach, shops and plenty of restaurants, but the room stayed quiet at night. Everything was fresh and thoroughly cleaned, and the bed was very comfortable. Good quality linens, soap, shower gel and towels were provided, along with blackout shutters and a pristine shower. Friendly, attentive staff made it a great experience. I’d happily recommend the hotel, which deserves more stars, and would return next time I visit la coruna.

The breakfast was excellent, with tortilla, smoked ham, homemade cake, fresh espresso and plenty more. All four staff members were lovely and helpful. The hotel is in a wonderful spot, close to the beach, lots of sports options and great restaurants. It’s modern and exceptionally clean, so I can’t believe it has only 2 stars. I’d give it 5 if parking were free.
