Hotel & Spa Entremares

The cleaning staff and the people at ChiringuitoClub gave us superb service, and the location works well if you like busy tourist strips. It’s also near lovely Cabo de Palos, and getting a room facing the sea would be a real bonus. But if food matters to you, avoid this place. The buffet was shamefully bad at all three meals. ChiringuitoClub might be a little better, but only if you’re “premium”; otherwise, you may be better off buying food at the grocery across the street or trying one of the few nearby restaurants if you get lucky. For a four star hotel, the all inclusive offering is seriously lacking.

That fine white sand beach is magnificent, and the hotel has direct access to it. The food options, though, were very limited and lacked flavor. The customer service was mediocre, and the rooms were awful. I booked two sea view rooms, one with two beds for the kids and one with a large bed for the parents. I repeated the details at check in, and the receptionist confirmed that the rooms and beds matched the booking. Once we got upstairs, neither room had a sea view and both had small separate beds. When I went back, she said the reservation wasn’t for sea view after all, despite what she’d told me, and that nothing else was available. She offered to put us on a waiting list, so perhaps we could move “in a few days.” We were only there for two nights. The ground floor rooms looked straight onto a busy street and parking area, so there was a lot of noise. We also found cockroaches in the bathroom.

The buffet is very basic and there isn’t much of it, which takes away from what’s otherwise a really nice hotel in a great spot.

You can walk straight out onto the beach from this lovely hotel, and the buffet is great.
