My single room was small but modern, clean, comfortable, and well furnished, with a great bathroom. It was exceptional value, and the location could hardly be better, just a few metres from the cathedral. A great find.

The room doesn't have a refrigerator, but Hostal Albany is just a few steps from the Cathedral and in an excellent spot on a pedestrian street full of bars and restaurants. The hair dryer was super powerful and dried my hair fast. I highly recommend it! Camino de Santiago (21-22 apr, day 18) Visited April 2025

The room had a decent amount of space and was nice. What really makes the hostel worth it is the cathedral view. Our only issue was a cigarette smell in the room, probably left by the previous guests smoking there.

I paid 85 euro for a tiny room, and it was terrible value. Noise from downstairs was insane all night, even though my room was on the second floor, away from the lobby. I complained to staff at 1am, but they did nothing, didn't apologize, and made no effort to improve things. The hotel was horrible. Do not book here!

Hostal Albany did more than I expected, and I highly recommend it. Check-in customer service was great, and communication through booking and WhatsApp was fantastic. The rooms were very clean, the WIFI was great, and the Cathedral is within 50 meters. No place is perfect, but this one was a great stay.
