Hotel JS Paradise Sport — Adults Only

We booked direct with the hotel for 5 nights on a half-board basis. The location is handy, with the beach and main strip of bars, shops, and restaurants a 5-minute walk one way, and a bus stop for the airport and Palma 5 minutes the other way. Breakfast and dinner were a pleasant surprise, with lots of choice and different food each day. The staff worked hard and were all super-friendly. Water was available free in the mornings, but not at night, which was a shame. A water dispenser would be a good idea, including in the gyms. The gyms were great, spread across 3 areas indoors and out. Our small, basic room was clean and had a nice sea-view balcony. But the walls were so thin we could hear talking, snoring, and everything from next door and the corridor, making it hard to sleep at times. The pool area was constantly busy, with few loungers, and the pool opening at 10:30 seemed strange. I’d 100% recommend it for the food and gyms!

Two weeks here were miserable. We waited 3 hours to get into our room, and the buffet had a poor selection, though the bar food was okay. The whole place was very noisy. A leak left water all along the hallway, and the cleaning staff were very rude.

The room phone wasn’t even plugged in, so when noisy teenagers disturbed us every night, we couldn’t call reception. The room was much too small for three people, though it might be fine for two. Breakfast was okay, except the scrambled eggs one morning were so salty they were nearly inedible. I also asked reception about the massage services listed on the website and was told they didn’t offer them. That false advertising really sucked. We expected better, and more honesty on the website would make a difference.

Dinner had plenty of variety and freshly cooked food, and the pool and gym facilities were lovely. The poolside bar was affordable and added to the stay. Reception staff were welcoming and moved us from two singles to a double room, though the “double bed” was still two singles joined with a mattress topper, so there was a gap between them. The room was fine for two, with good air conditioning and a decent-sized bathroom, but water pressure was poor on the higher floors. Thin walls meant guests coming back from nights out often woke us by singing and shouting. It’d help if the 24h reception asked drunk guests arriving in the early hours to keep quiet. A decent 3 star hotel, and we enjoyed our stay.
