Emilio's bar is only a five-minute walk away and makes a handy lunch stop, with fair prices, plenty to choose from, and friendly service. Back at the caves, the plunge pool was just right for cooling down and looking out over the countryside. We loved the freshly cooked paella and BBQ evenings too, great value, and Ian's sangria really hit the spot. Viv, Ian & Liv were lovely company and always helpful. We stayed four nights, and the caves felt modern, spotless, and wonderfully cool. A relaxing place to properly get away from it all.

We’re planning our second trip back this year. It’s a fantastic base for exploring the area, and the caves have everything you need. Ian & Viv are around whenever you want local information. And Ian’s Sangria is legendary 👍🏻.

The cave houses were lovely, modern inside, and cosy even in February. We had an amazing three nights, and Viv & Ian were perfect hosts. We’ll be back!!

We came back to Cave Holidays Andalucia after our first stay in the heat of summer, when it was over 30 degrees. Back then the cave stayed naturally cool, and we slept so well without the usual air-conditioning hum. I wondered how it would feel this time with nighttime temperatures falling below zero, but there was no need to worry. The evenings ended with beautiful sunsets behind the mountains, then we headed inside to the warm, cosy cave and its roaring pellet burner. At bedtime, the deep, incredibly soft pillows and fluffy warm duvet made for another great sleep, right through to late morning. Ian and Viv welcomed us like close friends again. They know the area so well, and even pointed us to a spot where snow was likely to have fallen overnight. We got to enjoy a lovely walk and an inevitable snowball fight, which all the kids loved, especially the grown-up ones. We saw many of the same places as in summer, but the season changed the feel of it all. The little Spanish towns looked even more beautiful beneath snow-topped mountains and dressed up for Christmas and Three Kings. The restaurant terraces where we’d had cold beer and tapas before were serving hot chocolate and hearty Andalucian stews instead. If you’ve only seen this area in summer, I’d really encourage a visit in Winter or Spring. I’d definitely recommend staying with Ian and Viv at Cave Holidays Andalucia.

The walks and scenery have been stunning, and we’ve all enjoyed the peace and quiet. Ian and Viv have been perfect hosts, and Ian Paella is a must. The cave houses are amazing, sympathetically restored to a really high standard. We’ve had an amazing couple of days so far, and you’ll definitely see us again. Cheers guys!
