Abracadabra Suites

The bed was comfortable at night, the air conditioning kept the room cool in summer, and the location was very central. Those were the good parts of our seven nights. We had a broken bed leg for the entire stay, even after staff were told, and the thin walls meant we had to complain several times about noisy guests. With no reception onsite, arranging to leave our bags before check-in was nearly impossible. It was an unpleasant stay, and we ended up moving to a different hotel because of the broken bed. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We could hear our roommates through the walls, and noise seemed to carry loudly along the corridor. Street noise was awful too, and we couldn’t sleep. The room was tiny and dirty, nothing like the online photos, with barely enough space to move around the bed and nowhere for suitcases. The bathrooms were very ordinary, and every door handle squeaked. Not a good experience.

Our room was supposed to have a balcony, but we were given a different one. If you want to complain, there’s nowhere to go because the office isn’t there. The app was a mistake too: as the second person in the room, I couldn’t enter the premises by myself. The room was very expensive, yet the paper thin walls let us hear everything. Our French neighbours partied until 3 am all week, so sleep was impossible. If we got some refund, I might change my opinion. You’re on holiday, but this hotel just gives you problems. An expensive disaster. Don’t come here.

The place was clean, which is why I gave it two stars. Using a phone app as your room key is awful. It looks like it should be intuitive, but it just doesn’t work well and causes so much confusion. Everyone we spoke to who was staying there agreed. Need to call someone? You just have to hope they pick up, especially during business hours.
