Hotel Palacio Del Retiro, Autograph Collection

The team made us feel like family right from the beginning, and were happy to go the extra mile to meet our requests. It's a small, beautiful hotel across from Retiro Park, with the best service I've had so far in Spain. I've been to Madrid at least 15 times, and it's easily the best hotel I've stayed at. The location is great too. I highly recommend paying in advance for breakfast, because it's very good. I'll definitely come back on my next trip to Madrid.

Breakfast was a highlight, and even the stairwells are amazing. The staff were wonderful. I enjoyed three nights in a deluxe room on the ground floor, facing a side street, so it was very quiet. The room was a bit dark, but the high ceilings and stunning decoration made up for it. It's a beautiful little hotel.

For a few nights at El Retiro, I found the stay comfortable and quiet. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Shops, cafes, and walking areas are close by, which makes the location convenient. Facilities are modest and the hotel is basic, but for the price it works well for a practical stay.

The setting by Retiro Park is hard to beat, and the hotel’s beautiful design gives the place a real sense of character. The service was warm and attentive too. It felt like a stay with its own story.
