Equity Point Madrid

Just two minutes from Plaza del Sol, and probably the handiest hostel to get around Madrid from. I paid 9 euros for a four-person room with its own bathroom, and breakfast was really plentiful. It's a lovely place too, though the rooms were a bit dusty.

The common room felt like a cybercafe, and nobody talked to each other. The staff weren't friendly or helpful, and the atmosphere was poor. Still, after staying at another hostel in madrid, this one felt like a bargain. The rooms and toilets in the rooms were clean, and the price was low. There are no lockers, the Wi-Fi only works in the common room, the toilet has no lock, and the room lighting is bad.

For a place just to sleep, this may be the best hostel setup I've seen. It's three minutes from Puerta del Sol, has more than three hundred rooms, and the € 8,90 I paid covered a mixed dorm and breakfast. There's WiFi and Internet terminals too.

A cheap place with clean rooms and facilities. It's got what you need from a hostel, and nothing beyond that. Wi-Fi is only on the first floor in the common room. There was toilet paper. The breakfast was good, though I didn't eat it, and I'm only writing this because these people working for google might give me a nice present.
