My room was on the ground floor, so I didn’t have to deal with stairs or a lift. It was clean, cleaned daily, and had its own shower and toilet. The air conditioning was strong and the bed was comfortable. The owner was very welcoming and let me check out late without any fuss or extra charge. The location is easy to get around from, near Argüelles and Moncloa metro stations, buses, and plenty of shops, bars, and cafés. There was no balcony or big view, though I wasn’t expecting one for the price. My main gripe was the frosted windows, which meant very little natural light. For a hostel, I thought it was good value and would come back.

The beds and pillows were so comfortable we ended up seeing less of Madrid than planned. Angelines is in a great location and felt very secure. The place was immaculately clean, with a large bathroom and a great shower. The owner was really helpful, and we managed to communicate using Google Translate. I did miss having a kettle in the room.

Alvaro and his mother are lovely, and they’ll help with any questions about getting around. The hostel feels welcoming, almost like being at home. It’s well connected, with a quick bus ride to the city center and bars, restaurants, and shops close by. Everything was spotless, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Whenever I’m in Madrid, I’ll stay here.

The owners were really friendly, and the hostel was quiet since the rooms face an interior courtyard rather than the street. It’s clean, with comfortable single beds, and the bathroom, floors, and walls have been renovated. There’s still room for some cosmetic improvements, of course. It’s also very affordable and centrally located. I stayed for two nights after reading reviews. Keeping in mind this is a hostel rather than a hotel, I think it met expectations and is a great option.
