Way Hostel Madrid

The location is perfect, the rooms, beds, and kitchen are good, and the people working here are nice. This could potentially be a top tier hostel. The WiFi is frustrating: if your phone sits unused for 30 seconds, it logs you out and makes you enter your first and last name, birth date, and email again. I had to do that about 20 times a day, and the connection is always just one bar. I later found out the staff have their own WiFi with full bars all the time. The shower doors are clear glass, so there's no privacy at all. I don't get it.

The room was really warm, and for some reason luggage storage is only free until 8 pm. Otherwise, it was a nice hostel with friendly staff and a good kitchen, though it gets a little cramped if several people cook at once. You can walk to the center, a metro stop, a few supermarkets, and restaurants.

I had a great two nights here. There were fun activities each evening, good for meeting people and enjoying the stay, and the common areas were roomy and well looked after. My room was clean and cozy, the mattress was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely book here again.

The hostel's a good place to meet people if you're open to chatting, and the kitchen is fully equipped and comfortable to use. The bathrooms were comfortable too. Reception staff were all friendly, respectful, and accommodating during my stay, answering every question with a genuine smile. They offer daytime activities like free walking tours and trips around local bars, plus traditional food in the evening and free breakfast snacks, including churros. The location is convenient for lots of places you'd want to visit, and it wasn't hard to find. At night, the room was a bit noisy, and the beds creaked. I was on the lower bunk and sometimes woke up when the person above moved around. I was worried when I saw the lockers didn't have a place for a padlock, but they can lend you one for a €5 deposit, which was nice. Thanks to the hosts!
