Please be aware that the restrooms are shared among all the guests. The host was nice, though I didn’t talk with him much. He put the two of us in a room for three without charging extra, thank goodness. The room was nice, with a rack for hanging clothes, which I always appreciate. It’s a great location for the price, a two-minute walk from the metro and five minutes from the palace.

The location was hard to beat, and I truly enjoyed staying here. The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were spacious, and the beds were comfortable. They cleaned the rooms and made the beds every day.

Basic but good, and the location is perfect!

The biggest downside was the noise. The walls must be thin because you can hear everyone coming in, and a couple of times I had to ask people to be quiet at 9 a.m. while I was still asleep. The rooms also have no windows, so they don’t get much ventilation. Still, this is a great centrally located hostel for having fun with friends in Madrid, with everything within walking distance. The staff were really friendly and put a lot into looking after the place. They even let us check out late so we could sleep in after going out, and gave us a towel. They were very nice.

It could be the perfect hostel if they sorted out the shower and heating. The shower’s hot water was impossible to regulate, which made taking one a nightmare. They also turn the heating on very late and switch it off very early, quite stingily. The location is ideal and the price reasonable.
