The rooms turned out better than they looked in the photos we checked before booking, and the staff were consistently kind and ready to help. It's right in the heart of Madrid, a place worth staying.

You can hear practically everything from the floor in your room: a toilet flushing, a child screaming next door, people chatting in the corridor and at reception. It was horribly noisy, and the bed wasn't clean. When I raised it with a staff member who seemed to be the owner, he just said, "IT IS NOT MY PROBLEM!" The staff or owner were also very rude. I wouldn't stay here unless I didn't plan to sleep at night.

The service was great, and my room was spacious and clean. In the morning there was a queue for the shared bathrooms, and the street-facing windows let in noise at night because of the location. A room facing inward would be better.

The welcome meant a lot to us. We really liked the hotel, it was clean and quiet, and most of all it was close to all the places we wanted to visit in Madrid.

The location is fabulous, right in the center of everything. Mr. Albert was very polite and helpful, and it was fair enough for one or two people visiting the city. Very clean, too.
