One small downside: you have to leave your key with the staff when you go out, but they aren't always at the desk, and there's no bell, so you just have to wait. The location is amazing, and the rooms were clean and spacious enough.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the towels and sheets were changed every day. The rooms are basic but very clean. It’s an easy walk to Gran via and Puerta del Sol, and the place feels more like a small hotel than a hostal. I’d pick a room with a balcony for extra comfort.

I keep coming back to this clean, affordable place, and this was my third stay. It’s a little hidden gem right in central Madrid, with great staff and customer service. If you can, get a room with a balcony.

The location is very central and easy to find, and the rooms are spacious and clean. There’s air conditioning, a balcony, and a proper bathroom. For what it costs, it’s pretty much perfect. I hope the prices stay the same, because I’d like to come back.

The rooms were tiny and dark, and the woman running the place was awful and rude. I’d been told I could check in at 11, but when I arrived at 11:30 after a night flight, she said the room wouldn’t be ready until 12:30 and wouldn’t even let me wait. Absolutely horrendous. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.
