Soho Boutique Congreso

The rooms were much bigger than I expected and very clean, and breakfast had a good variety. Staff were really helpful. It’s a great hotel near the center of Madrid, close enough to walk to most places.

The only slight hassle was parking. Otherwise, the location is lovely, the rooms are modern, spacious, and very clean, and they come with coffee machines and capsules. The breakfast buffet was lovely too, with a good range of food and nice coffee. Very glad we booked at soho boutique, highly recommended!

We’ve loved our stay so far, and we’re on night two of four. The room stays lovely and cool despite it being 30° outside, and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast has been delicious, with plenty of options, and the reception staff have been lovely. It’s in a great location, and I’d highly recommend the hotel to others. We’ve read plenty of bad reviews, but haven’t had the same experience.

I paid 846 dollars for 3 nights, and it wasn’t worth it. The hotel is close to museums and the Retiro, but there are many better value options nearby. Service was acceptable, though it couldn’t make up for the building or food. The breakfast room is small and ugly, and the breakfast selection was poor. There was construction going on, with workers passing by as I ate. My room faced a courtyard and was decorated as cheaply as the rest of the hotel. The rooms were noisy too, I could easily hear the people next door. The reception is tiny and so badly decorated it felt like a cheap IBiS. I still have nightmares about the 4 vases with dry flowers on the reception tables. Apparently, the strange layout comes from two old buildings once separated by a garage. And the bidet was right at the shower stall entrance, so getting in and out was gross and awkward.
