I stayed in room 307, which had its own veranda. The weather was perfect, so I slept with the doors open, though there is street noise. If you’re a light sleeper, you might want to ask for one of the rooms away from the street. I liked hearing Madrid’s nightlife, and the shared bathrooms weren’t a problem for me. There are three toilets and two shower rooms, and they were really clean. I barely saw another guest, apart from a brief encounter. This sweet, quiet little hostel is just a block from the Plaza de Puerta del Sol, with great restaurants, lovely plazas, and Madrid’s attractions nearby. It’s very reasonably priced and extremely clean. The building has an elevator, which is handy since it’s on the 3rd floor. I’d gladly stay again if I’m lucky enough to return to this lovely city.

We booked a room with a private bathroom and balcony. It was bright and clean, with little candies on the table, cups, and tea. The owner was very kind and helpful, such a lovely host. The hostal is a great place to stay in Madrid, with an especially good location: a minute’s walk from the Plaza de Mayor and five minutes from the Plaza del sol.

The owner was very friendly, and the service lady spoke English. We stayed at Hostal Teran for a couple of nights in mid of Sep 2018. It was clean, tidy, and felt safe. The location is extremely convenient, very close to Plaza del Sol, the Metro/Rail, and the Shopping Center.
