The staff were the only five-star part for me. The elevators smelled like toilets, the spa downstairs was horrible, the beds were weird, and the sound insulation was awful. I really wonder how this is called a five-star hotel. It feels like a four-star place.

Right in the middle of Salamanca, this boutique hotel has great boutiques and restaurants on its doorstep. It’s become my home away from home. The spa has the best massage in town, highly recommend getting one.

Our rooms were ready by 8:30am, as soon as the staff could get them prepared. My family and I had arrived really early, before 5am, and asked for an incredibly early check-in. They couldn’t have a room ready then, but offered us drinks while we waited. My wife and I had a few delicious coffees in the comfortable library lounge, and when the restaurant opened at 7am, we were served breakfast indoors. It was still too cold to enjoy the restaurant terrace. The restaurant servers were excellent, and the front desk team were just as good. They patiently arranged a day trip for our family, which ended up being to amazing Toledo, and even got us a pair of tickets for the Champions League semi-finals at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. Incredibly helpful, friendly, and efficient staff. They deserve six stars, not five. An excellent experience!

The staff are what make this five-star hotel stand out, on top of its great location. Every person we met was attentive, welcoming, and ready to help. We encountered four bellboys, and all four were thoughtful, whether bringing umbrellas or simply saying hello. The breakfast team were just as perceptive. On my first day I had a tummy ache and couldn’t finish my eggs benedict. The head staff member quickly offered to pack it to go, then asked the next morning how I was feeling. Such a sweet, considerate gesture. I asked if they could have my car cleaned and ready at the times I might need it, and they got it cleaned at 8am. They also let us check out well past the usual time for a special requirement. That kind of effort to make guests happy really sets them apart.

A small, lovely property that seems ideal for adults and couples. The location is great, the people are great, and everything was handled with the highest professionalism. This was the best staff and service I’ve experienced in all my years of travel. Just perfect. I’m sorry we couldn’t stay longer and would love to come again.
