Inhala Hotel Garden

The check-in was easy, and the staff who greeted us were lovely. But we were the only guests on a hallway where the other rooms were being gutted and renovated. At 7:30 in the morning, which was 2:30 a.m. back home on the first stop of our vacation, hammers, drills, saws, and loud voices woke us up. Dust covered the hall, the carpet had been ripped up, and the hallway windows were open in February when it was 8 degrees. Our heating couldn’t keep up, so the room was 15 degrees. We’d paid extra for a premium room, and it felt like a cheap hostel. I felt insulted and frustrated that the room had been rented at all. We asked to move and were given a smaller, quieter room, but it still had problems. Rust-colored water came out of the shower, the towel racks were coming off the wall, and the sink seemed ready to fall off too. For the 1024 CAD we paid for three nights, it was very, very disappointing and shameful. We’ll post reviews elsewhere so other travelers don't have the same experience.

The rooftop restaurant was the standout for us. The food was insanely delicious, and the service made us feel special. Huge thanks to the chef. I don’t know why the restaurant isn’t famous, because it deserves to be known. The rooftop access and five-star restaurant on the top floor are the main reasons I’d come back to this hotel. Thank you, Inhala, for making our vacation feel so good!

Being close to the supermercado made light shopping easy, and the location is great for walking to famous streets and sights. The receptionists were helpful and accommodating. The downside is how thin the walls are. Noise from housekeeping and other guests talking or walking in the hall is really disturbing, so if you like sleeping in, ask for a quiet area.

The rooms are quite old, with a very worn carpet, and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. They do clean and tidy the room every day, though, and replace all the towels, even when we left at different times. There’s a charge to store your case. The hotel’s location is superb, and the reception area looks modern and really nice. The reception team was great too.
