Live It Madrid Chamberi

If you need somewhere simple and well located for a night or two, I’d recommend Live it Chamberi. We stayed in room 108 on the first floor. Check-in was easy enough after the company WhatsApped around 14:00 to ask where to send the access codes. The room and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, with good heating, and there were plenty of high-quality towels. It’s fair value for the price. The building could use maintenance: the floors creak quite a bit, and we heard people moving around in the morning, though that was close to checkout and to be expected. The bathroom soap had run out. We didn’t use the kitchen, so can’t comment on that.

I booked for two days but left at 5:00 in the morning after just one night. There was a lot of noise coming into the room, and the guidance they gave us was terrible. I don’t know what was going on, but staying here was one of my worst decisions. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Teresa, who looks after the shared apartment and keeps it in good shape, is lovely. We got fresh towels and bedding once a week, and I can’t complain about my stay at Live it Chamberi. It’s very central and close to the city centre. I’d definitely recommend it for a short visit or a longer stay in Madrid.

Check-in took me an hour because the communication and service were terrible, or basically absent. My flight wasn’t until the evening, so I asked to leave my small backpack somewhere, but they wouldn’t allow it even though I could clearly see other people’s luggage in a hallway. It was noisy at night, too. If you want to save your time and mental health, don’t stay here.
