Hotel Mirador de Chamartin

I asked for a kettle in my room and the staff were happy to arrange one. There’s also access to a swimming pool and gym, which is a nice bonus. The team was helpful whenever I needed something. I’ve been at Hotel Mirador since Sunday and will stay until next Saturday. So far, it’s been a pleasant stay. The area is calm and peaceful while still being well connected, and there’s a beach within walking distance for a quick break after work. The metro station is about 500 meters away, as is my office at Dulce Chacón, 55, so getting to work is easy. A lot of our business partners seem to choose the hotel for meetings and stays. It seems like a convenient, comfortable option for a short visit or a longer stay, whether for business or leisure.

The hotel is nice, but noise from the alleyway was an issue. Parking at the hotel costs 14 euros per day if you want a secure place for your vehicle. We also had a room in our room, which confused us. When I asked, I was told it was a small kitchen and would cost another 15 euros per day.

It was fairly calm and green around the hotel, but the location is a bit remote. The metro ride takes around 30-40 minutes to the city centre and about 20 minutes to the airport. We booked two deluxe premium rooms and got rooms that looked completely different from the website and booking.com pictures, in style, furniture, materials, bathrooms, and so on. They were far from the advertised rooms and from a four-star standard. We complained at reception, but they refused to move us or offer compensation.

The bathroom had a window, which was great for ventilation, though strangely there was no toilet brush. We had a spacious four-bedroom room with two double beds, not a sofa, even though we were traveling with children. It was clean and nice, and just a six-minute walk from the subway.
