Spark By Hilton Madrid Alcala

Maria made check-in easy, even after I was initially annoyed to learn that Digital Key has to be activated at the front desk in Spain when you request it online. She explained it clearly and was really sweet and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean, and the breakfast was amazing. This is one of the best Spark properties I’ve stayed in, and its quality and standards genuinely surprised me compared with Spark by Hilton properties in the USA. The staff made the biggest impression on me. Miguel was always smiling and so warm, kind, and ready to help, and Alex was patient and friendly too. I can't remember everyone's names, but the whole team was enthusiastic and professional, and made me feel welcome in Madrid. I spent five days here and felt relaxed and comfortable. The hotel is new, clean, and tidy, with good facilities. My room was small but fine for me as a solo traveler. It's about a 30-minute drive from the city center, and there are supermarkets, restaurants, and cafés nearby, which is handy for everyday needs. I'd choose it again if I return to Madrid.

The main downside is that there aren't many restaurants nearby. There are a few supermarkets, a small shopping mall by the metro, and Mercadona around the corner, where you can get some good, inexpensive prepared hot food. It seems like there's plenty of street parking too, though we didn't have a car. For getting around, buses nearby go to the city center and the airport with one transfer, and Line 5 is a little over a 10-minute walk away. The hotel is under a year old. Our room wasn't large, but it was adequate, and I liked the towel warmer in the bathroom. Breakfast costs 15€ per person, with two hot options and a good range of cold cuts, cheese, pastries, bread, fresh fruit, and juice. A good choice if you're staying outside the city center.

The room was just as described and very clean, with a shower and bathroom that were bigger than I expected. Staff were friendly and honored my Hilton status. Breakfast was good too. I stayed one night in September 2025 and would happily come back for another short stay.
