Vincci Capitol Hotel

There's a terrace on the 9th floor where you can take in the Madrid skyline. Vincci Capitol is right in the heart of Madrid, with tourist sights within a 15-minute walk and a metro station that makes getting there from the airport easy. The rooms are spacious, with very wide, comfortable beds, plus a minibar and some snacks. Breakfast has plenty of choices, including typical Spanish items like jamon Serrano, queso, fresh orange juice, and tomato rallado.

The rooms are generally good, though a bit more practical furniture would help. Wi-Fi was excellent, and the TV's Chromecast made it easy to connect my phone. Breakfast is basic but adequate and should cover what you need. It's a very nice business hotel for a few days, right in central Madrid with lots of options for eating, shopping, and going out. We had a very nice stay.

The rooftop terrace is a lovely place to relax, especially around sunset when Madrid's skyline catches the warm light and Gran Vía eases into the evening. The hotel feels much calmer inside than the busy street outside, and the rooms are especially peaceful. Vincci Capitol Hotel sits right on Gran Vía, putting Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Malasaña, shops, theaters, and restaurants just minutes away on foot. That makes it easy to get around for sightseeing, shopping, nightlife, or business. The rooms are modern and spacious, with comfortable beds and good soundproofing. Some look over Gran Vía, so you can watch the city come alive at night. Bathrooms are well equipped, with strong water pressure and good toiletries. Staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, whether giving local tips, sorting transport, or handling requests. Breakfast was varied, well organized, and had a good selection of fresh food. The hotel balances its central location with comfort and style, and I'd gladly stay here again.

I paid an extra 20 euros for a king size bed, but my colleagues got the same bed without paying anything extra. Our company had booked three rooms for three people, and at check-in the reception told us each room had two single beds, with a 20-euro extra charge for a king size. I wanted the larger bed, so I paid and went to my room. The next morning, my colleagues told me they had the same king size bed. I checked their rooms, and they were just like mine, with the same view and no difference. At checkout I raised it with reception, and the front desk person said my colleagues had “GOT LUCKY.” This felt like a scam. If you're booking here, don't fall for it, save your money, and avoid the hotel if you can. There are plenty of better hotels in the same area.
