Zleep Hotel Madrid Airport

The staff were lovely throughout our two nights at Zleep hotel in January, warm and welcoming, always helpful, and quick with a smile. Our room was spacious and comfortable. But when we first checked in, it smelled strongly of smoke, despite the no-smoking signs and closed windows. We had to open a window because the smell wouldn't go away. We chose to put up with it instead of asking to move, so I don't know whether Zleep could have done anything or whether all the rooms smelled that way. The bathroom's setup was puzzling. Reusing towels during a stay is a normal request, but there were no hooks in the bathroom or elsewhere in the room to hang them up to dry. The shower door also pushed away a towel placed outside it, so water still ended up on the floor. There weren't any nearby shops or food options apart from the hotel restaurant, and the hotel was far from everything. I wouldn't recommend it for exploring Madrid. If you just need somewhere to sleep while waiting for a flight, it might suit you.

It worked really well for an overnight layover, with the hotel very close to the airport. The apartment was roomy and quiet, in a great location, and exceptionally clean. Service was excellent, the curtains blocked out light, and the bed was comfortable. I recommend it.

My husband and I are grateful to the reception team for all their help when he became ill. We ended up staying five extra days, and Alma, Andrea and Anastacia were wonderful, caring and so helpful. I slept really well: the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. It's easy to reach by taxi from the airport, which makes it a great choice for a late-night flight. All the staff were very kind. Thank you!
