Hospedium Apartamentos Simon Verde Apartment Hotel

The hotel looks like it may date from the early 1990s Expo, but the junior suite I had was very spacious. It’s in an upscale neighborhood, with a nice little cafe next door. When I had trouble with my rental car, the woman at the desk called the rental company and made getting a replacement much easier. That was a huge help.

I’ve tried reaching them by email and WhatsApp, among other ways, and they just ignore me. Their customer service is the worst. Even one star feels too generous.

The rooms are large and nice, and the kitchen facilities are good, but the mattresses sagged in the middle, like sleeping in a rowboat. The pool and its surrounding area were closed. We asked the front desk for a little salt, but they said they had none, even though the kitchen serves breakfast. There weren’t any basic condiments either.

The staff at reception were friendly and helpful both at night and in the morning, and the quiet spot on the outskirts of Sevilla made for a peaceful night. We stopped here overnight before our flight, and the airport was an easy 30-minute drive away. The room was basic but very spacious, with a kitchenette we used to make a simple supper and a huge, comfortable bed. One thing to know: the hot water seems to come from a tank. We ran out after a bath and had to wait for it to heat back up. Still, it was an enjoyable stay for the price, and we’d use the hotel again.
