The room had a pleasant smell, and I found the bed comfortable. The modular kitchen was a nice feature. It works well for a couple, though three adults would feel cramped. There’s no view, and there were no washcloths or face towels. The bathroom also had mold and rust in the shower, and the hot water ran out fairly quickly while showering.

Being able to pop back for tea or a comfort break between sightseeing was really handy, thanks to the location of Calle Granada residence in Malaga. Check-in at Calle San Telmo went smoothly, too. I had a great experience on my recent trip and would stay again. Highly recommend it.

The apartment didn’t match the photos, and it needs attention: stains on the walls, plus a bathroom that needs a thorough clean and updating. We also arrived to no hot water. The receptionist came over straight away, and we looked up the problem together, but then waited more than an hour for the water to heat. That cost us hours of our trip. The reception desk in our building wasn’t where we had to check in; the actual reception was several blocks away. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The location is the big plus. The apartment is right among shops, restaurants, bars, and major sights, and the sidewalks were smoother than in most European cities, which helped with the suitcases. It’s in a no-car zone, something Hotels.com hadn’t mentioned, and the nearest public parking is about a five-minute walk away. Its elevator was out of order, so we had to take our luggage down the car ramp. Check-in was in another building several blocks away, a detail we’d missed in the fine print. The apartment and doors don’t block much sound, so earplugs might help. During a heatwave the AC didn’t work properly, and our first day was extremely uncomfortable. After a day of back and forth with the staff, they moved us to a room with working AC. The rooms with terraces are definitely a plus.
