The staff were excellent, and the hotel was very clean, though basic. My room was tiny and didn’t have a kettle or anything like that. We only stayed one night while waiting for our train to Granada. The area around it isn’t the nicest.

Las Americas had everything we needed as a base for exploring the city, and I’d definitely stay again. It’s not the sort of place to spend all day in, but our short stay was very comfortable. The room was small yet very clean and quiet, with comfortable beds, a strong hot shower, a TV, and sockets in handy spots. The team were friendly, and the old town is about a 15-minute walk away. There are cafes, shops, and other conveniences right nearby. Getting into the city from Málaga airport by train was easy and cheap, and the hotel is just five minutes from the station.

The bed was so small that anyone over 1.80 m would struggle to fit comfortably. The room was cold and not very clean, and one bedside lamp didn’t work. I asked for another pillow because the only one provided was a long bolster, but they didn’t have one. I know it’s a one-star hotel, but it should still meet basic standards. Otherwise, it’s more like a hostel.

The station is only two minutes away, and the center takes about 20 minutes to reach. We had two splendid nights, with a comfortable room and facilities, and the staff were nice and helpful. I won’t forget this place next time I’m in Málaga!
