The location was the only thing we liked. The apartment itself was extremely dirty, with bugs in the bathroom, and the common areas looked badly neglected. The AC didn’t work, and there was no toilet paper when we arrived. After we asked, they gave us one roll for two people for four nights, which wasn’t enough. We’d paid for parking in advance, but the remote that was supposed to be in the room wasn’t there, and the key only arrived later that day. The assigned spot was already taken by another car. When we called the host, they told us to park wherever we could find a free space, leaving us uncertain and dealing with parking problems throughout the stay. Noise was another problem. The walls hardly blocked sound, so we could hear everything from neighboring rooms and had trouble resting. The poor cleanliness, missing basics, parking hassles, and management problems outweighed the good location. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

For the price, this was very poor value. The mattress was thin and unsupportive, and left me with a significant backache. The kitchenette was also in rough shape, with old, rusty crockery and several chipped plates. During our six days there, nobody cleaned, and we were expected to reuse the same towels and bedding the whole time. They even threaten a £20 extra charge if guests don’t clean the unit themselves and take out all the rubbish. Check-in added another hassle: you have to call a specific number through WhatsApp to pay a deposit when you arrive. Without internet or a roaming plan, that could be a nightmare, and it could easily have been arranged days or weeks earlier. Between the uncomfortable bed, worn kitchenware, and lack of service, Fun Building Studios is a poor deal. I’d avoid it.

People were outside my door in the halls at all hours, despite the building telling guests to observe quiet hours, and it didn’t feel safe. It’s been 10 months since my stay, and they still haven’t responded to booking.com's contact about my complaints or refunded me. I was left significantly out of pocket for the rest of my trip. Do not stay here.

It feels like a gamble. I rented one place in the same building, though not from Homeabout, and it had a leaking shower, door problems, and other issues. Another apartment, this one from Homeabout, was fantastic and gave me no complaints.

The atmosphere was chaotic, with loud groups and parties going on constantly, and staff would come and make you leave the terrace at 11 PM, even if you were still there. Getting to the city center meant crossing a dangerous intersection, which felt especially unpleasant at night, and the area itself didn’t feel safe. Inside, things weren’t clean either. Our towels were stained, so we had to wash them ourselves, and the floor and kitchen counter were dirty. In the bathroom, some shower gel bottles were mostly filled with water, and one was broken and unusable. I wouldn’t recommend Funbuildings in Málaga. The hygiene, noise, and location were all disappointing.
