The reception staff were helpful and friendly, but the hotel didn’t match the attention to detail I’ve had at other Eurostar hotels in Spain. Our room was 27 degrees when we arrived, with the heater blasting and no AC option. Even after we left the window open for several hours, it barely cooled down, and the heat made it hard to sleep. The beds were hard and noisy and really need replacing. We booked one night and wanted to add another for convenience. Reception said their “system” wasn’t working and we had to book online. When we checked later, the weekday rate had more than doubled to 300 Euros for one night. That seemed unreasonable for the hotel’s quality on a non-peak day. I paid reception for two breakfast tickets in the morning, but nobody told me the restaurant strictly closes breakfast at 11. We’d slept in after a bad night, and the staff pushed us to leave, albeit smiling, so we had to rush through the meal we’d paid for. It wasn’t pleasant. A hotel stay needs to let you sleep well, and this one didn’t pay attention to the details that would help guests do that. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Everyone greets you with a smile, and the hotel was very clean. The staff were so welcoming and hospitable. Sandra was especially helpful, going above and beyond to make us feel at home and answer all our many questions. Highly, highly recommend!

I booked two nights through booking.com. The room was clean, but the service wasn’t great. It took many calls from the room phone before I could reach anyone at reception. There was no WiFi, which matters a lot to me for work, and although they kept saying a technician was fixing it, the problem never got resolved. There were plenty of other hotels in Malaga, and I wish I’d chosen one of them.

The main problem was how much noise came through. I could hear the neighbors talking and running their tap, as well as cars outside. The water pressure also wasn’t strong enough for a nice shower. The room itself was large and clean, and the location was okay, though a bit far if you’re heading to the old city. Eurostars Astoria does better on those points, even though its rooms are smaller.

I only had a very short stay, but it was easy to relax in the clean, quiet hotel, and the staff were wonderfully friendly. The location is great, and the atmosphere is pleasant. A couple of small things could be better: the restaurant cups are too big for a proper espresso, and conversations from neighboring rooms carry through, especially via the bathrooms. Still, I enjoyed the stay.
