The host was dismissive and shockingly rude when we tried to bring up the problems. The payment process also seemed dodgy and unprofessional, leaving us unsure if the booking was even genuine. When we arrived, the flat was filthy and had a terrible smell. It clearly hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time, and the online photos gave a completely misleading impression. This experience ruined part of our trip. I'd steer well clear.

The bathroom was fine and the kitchen was average, and the place was central. But we came to relax and got no rest: the bed creaked badly, with springs digging into us, and the old-smelling sofa was so soft we sank right into it. Quite an unforgettable stay, for all the wrong reasons.
