Málaga Centro Hostel

I paid 135,00 for three days in advance, but left because I didn’t feel comfortable or safe and lost the money. The room had six beds, but it was full of someone’s clothes and belongings, and I think a lady lived there. It smelled bad, and the linen didn’t seem clean to me. The bathroom was disgusting too. The Serbian lady at reception, probably the owner, was rude and in a bad mood the whole time. I’ve never seen such a disgusting hostel. I learned that the cheapest option can end up being the most expensive experience.

Really good value, with Lidl, Mercadona, and cafes like Tejeringos nearby. It’s a great base for the beach and close to the historic city centre, about 10 minutes on foot to the nearest metro and one minute to the bus stop. The rooms were clean and air-conditioned, and the service was lovely and helpful, with regular cleaning and towel changes. The roof patio was a great place to sit in the evening, with a scenic view of the city and mountains. Couldn’t have asked for more.

We only stayed one night in a room in a separate building, a few hundred meters from the main house. Everything was clean, and the staff were nice and helpful. Still, the room lacked a lot: no closet for our things, no bath mat, and we had to use a towel to dry the floor after showering. The towels were tiny, there wasn’t a single hook in the bathroom, and there was no hair dryer.

The staff were really sweet and even gave us a better room than the one we’d booked. It was clean and tidy, with a good internet connection. The location was so convenient, less than five minutes from the city, and there were restaurants everywhere nearby whenever we got hungry. Honestly, so recommendable!
