Bull Dorado Beach & Spa - All Inclusive

There’s always a bar close by, and the hotel is well suited to people with limited mobility, with ramps and lifts everywhere. The pool gets plenty of sun, with lots of sunbeds, two jacuzzis at opposite corners, and either a ramp with a rail or steps to get in. There’s a small pool beside the main one, as well as a children’s area with a small pool, ball pool and soft play. The rooms were clean, bright and airy, with comfy beds, mirrors and plenty of wardrobes and hangers. They had two light fans and air con. The walk-in shower had pump soap. The towels were a bit small but did the job. A big thanks to the animation team. Sheila, Olivia and Anna ran a full program: french bowls, archery, shooting, darts, aqua zumba and aqua bikes. Before the evening entertainment there was bingo or a quiz where you could win hotel merch. Then there were magicians, tap dancers and balancing acts, to name a few. The buffet had themed nights with dishes from around the world, plus wine, beer, alcohol-free drinks and soft drinks.

The views and unforgettable sunsets over the sea were amazing, and the whole place felt relaxed, comfortable and very well organised. We found the Bull Dorado Hotel spotless, cleaner than many 5-star hotels we’ve stayed in. For a 3-star place, it was by far the best we’ve experienced, and better than some higher-rated hotels. Food was a highlight, with a huge variety every day: fresh salads, local Canarian dishes, international choices and plenty for different tastes. The self-service drink stations had a good range of alcoholic and alcohol-free options too. Staff were warm, friendly and always happy to help, which made us feel welcome. We stayed as a couple and couldn’t have been happier. We’d happily come back and would 100% recommend the Bull Dorado.

The staff could do no wrong, and the snack bar was great, with everything cooked fresh. There’s a Tuesday market close by, and we took the bus to the Friday market. The only real downside was that there wasn’t a pub or bar nearby where we could go for a drink. Most guests were German, and some showed little respect for the staff and other guests. We’ll most likely return with a different attitude next time.

The entertainment team are still a big plus. The girls are brilliant with kids and adults, the service and facilities remain lovely, and the all-inclusive drinks are good quality. We love this hotel for families with small children and have been four times this year. Our latest stay, 24.08-01.09, was worse than the earlier visits because the main dining room food had really gone downhill. Everything tasted the same or had no taste, most grilled food was dry, and many salads seemed to contain leftover ingredients from the previous night’s dinner 🙄. The snackbar food was better, but mostly junk food :/ I hope it was temporary and not a cost-cutting program :/ The sunbed towel situation wasn’t handled well this time either, especially at the start when it was crowded. People left towels on beds and disappeared for the whole day. On our earlier visits, staff were strict about removing towels if people were away for several hours, and that’s how it should be :/ There was also a terrible incident at the pool bar. During the daytime, staff kept serving hard liquor to a man who was already drunk and could hardly walk. He eventually couldn’t get out of the pool, and they had to call bouncers to get him out 🙄. What a shame, and very inappropriate for a family hotel with small kids 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
