Hotel Riu Vistamar

There’s a shuttle to the beach, which is useful because you can’t easily walk there. If it were ever removed, you’d feel isolated without a hire car or taxis, as the area isn’t very walkable. The pools were great, with lots of loungers, and the staff were great too. Main restaurant food was good, but rather similar day to day. We didn’t try the speciality restaurants. It’s a good hotel with good facilities and value, and yes, I’d go again.

The views over Amadores beach are amazing, and the pool areas are nice with plenty of sun loungers. The snack bar came in handy when we didn’t want to use the main restaurant for lunch. That restaurant got really busy at times, but we always found a table. The food was okay, though sometimes not piping hot. Our room was cleaned daily, and all the staff were friendly and courteous. We’ve just come back from a lovely week here. The weather was good, if a little chilly at night, and we’d definitely stay again.

The lifts are small, so there can be a wait to get to the pool or reception if you don’t want to take the stairs. Apart from that, we had a fantastic 4 night break. We were all inclusive, the food was amazing, service throughout the hotel was very good, and the views were spectacular. We’ll definitely return.

For guests without mobility problems, it’s a great all inclusive hotel. The staff were very friendly and would go out of their way to help, while the animation team worked hard and put on some great shows. The professional singers, acrobats, and other acts were good quality too. Food was up to the high standard I expect from a Riu hotel, and we’ve stayed at a few. People with mobility problems may want to stay within the hotel grounds, which are well served by lifts. If they go out, freely available taxis through reception would be essential. There’s also a courtesy bus to the beach with a good timetable.
