Hotel Fortes la Nuit S.L.

We left upset and went looking for another hotel straight away. The place is also joined to a noisy bar, and we were glad we didn't stay to deal with the noise and disruption. The owner was rude when my wife asked about changing to a room with an outside view. He waved a printed sheet in her face and said it would cost 140 euros to upgrade. We suspect this happens often. The listing didn't mention that our room had no outside view, just an internal window, and it felt like that was left out to push guests into paying more. When my wife said that seemed unreasonable, he dismissed her and told her to complain to Booking.com. Getting into the hotel was a struggle from the start. We arrived to find it locked, and after calling three numbers, someone finally answered and said they were coming. The owner arrived while we stood outside with our bags, unlocked the door, and didn't offer to help carry anything. My wife has limited mobility because of an injury, so a little courtesy would've helped. She also asked if there was a lift when we got our key and access cards. There wasn't, and he pointed us to the stairs without offering help. The room itself was clean, but had only one bedside table and one medium-sized towel plus a bath mat for two people. Its internal window looked down a three-floor drop into an enclosed space, with building materials at the bottom and very little natural light. Avoid this place. The location is poor unless you want a stuffy room next to a noisy nightclub or bar.

I've only visited the cafe out front. It looks nice, though I think they're still getting back on their feet after COVID. I know at least one person has stayed at the hotel. The cafe is friendly.

The bar alongside this little hotel is lovely, and has a really friendly feel.

The food was great, and the service was excellent. Everyone was very polite and welcoming.
