The best part was the kindness and thoughtful attention from the owners and staff, and the room was very good value at 50 euros a night with breakfast included. Desayuno español came with coffee, juice, tostada with jamon y queso, yoghurt and fruit. The house is the last one in Monachil before the road winds up into the mountains, so it’s quiet and pleasantly decorated. Our bedroom and bathroom were a little small but quite adequate, with double-glazed French windows looking onto the garden. Highly recommended!

I paid online for a stay, but the place was closed and nobody answered the phone. It was a horrible experience, and I wish I could give it no stars. This is a scam. Be careful when booking.

We came for the restaurant, and the food was quite good. The menu is limited, but the dishes are homemade and good quality. The place is beautiful, welcoming and family-friendly, and the staff were excellent. After a hike in Los Cachorros, their terrace would be a lovely spot for a sunny Sunday. The hotel also looks cozy and warm for winter. We’ll definitely be back.
