Hotel JS Alcudi Mar

The beach is beautiful, with soft sand and clear water, just across a small road from the hotel. We also had the best and most varied food we've ever had at a hotel, and even though we arrived late, they had food waiting for us. Everyone was so warm and ready to help, from reception to the lovely housekeeping staff. They were kind and understanding whenever we had a question or request. We had a wonderful stay last week and felt completely at home. I really don't understand the negative reviews, and we'll definitely come back.

We stayed here in July 2025, and the heat in our room was unbearable because the air conditioning wasn't working. With our 10 month old baby suffering in the heat, it quickly became a nightmare. What's more, nobody had told us about the problem earlier that day. They offered us a lower category room by reception, facing the parking lot. It smelled bad and had insects. Our booked room had a sea view, so we asked to be compensated for the difference in quality. They offered a drink worth €7. That was shameful. The manager was very rude and dismissive. I sent the hotel a detailed complaint as soon as we left, but still haven't had a reply, despite how serious the inconvenience was. Customer service was nowhere to be found when something went wrong. We felt there was no respect or concern for guests' well-being. Very disappointed, and I don't recommend this hotel.

The food was sensational throughout our stay, with fresh, tasty salads and an impressive amount of choice. My favorites were the Italian night, when they cooked pasta in a Parmesan wheel, the seafood evening with incredibly fresh, sweet shrimp, and Mexican night, where the burritos were delicious. Compliments to the chef, every meal was a delight. We had a wonderful stay!

Our room was spotless and cleaned every day, so well done to the ladies who take care of it. The waiters were all good, especially John and Adrian, who were both efficient and friendly. The hotel was clean and welcoming, and the food was good with a great choice. Breakfast was the one letdown, for some reason they only put out margarine instead of butter. Yuk. Unfortunately our room looked out over the car park. They offered a move, but we'd have had to wait two days and pay extra, so we didn't bother. We still had a wonderful holiday and would recommend it.
