Torremirona Golf & Spa Resort

The only downside for us was finding somewhere to walk the dog nearby. We had to go a little farther to enjoy some quiet nature. My dog and I had a lovely weekend, though, with comfortable rooms, really attentive staff, and a hotel that's very welcoming to pets. I'd happily recommend it 😊

It took half an hour before we could register and get a room. There was a long line, with just one person working at reception, and then guests had to answer a lot of questions about themselves in the application. I don't understand why staff can't scan our passports and enter the information for us. For a four-star hotel, I expected that to be standard.

The golf course is lovely and the view is fantastic, and the restaurant food was great too. We had duck and fish, both well worth recommending. But the rest felt closer to a budget three-star place, and I wouldn't come back, though it could suit someone looking for food and golf. At 7 pm, check-in took around 30 minutes in a crowd, with just one staff member asking everyone to fill out an online form. They offered cava, but it still didn't feel welcoming for a four-star hotel. The manager apologized and said it was due to the new Spanish law. The rooms weren't cosy without carpets, and there was only one restaurant, with a very limited drinks list: house wine by the glass, no cocktails, and so on. Service was very poor.

We paid €55 for a birthday spa treat for my friend and me, but ended up with just a large jacuzzi. First the code failed, so we had to go back for the girl. Then she couldn't open the door and had to find someone else. Once we finally got in and changed, we found the saunas weren't working. The phone to reception didn't work either.
