The whole place was noisy, and our third-floor “economy room” was tiny with a really low ceiling. We hit our heads several times. The room and bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly, and there was hair around. For what we paid, it fell well short.

The location is ideal if you have transport, and the staff were quite nice. For the price, the room and service were fair. 👍

The cleaners were friendly and helpful, and the shared kitchen was well equipped and straightforward to use for making meals. Tea and coffee cost an extra €1, but there’s no sign explaining where to get them, so bring your own if you like. I was there for three nights. The room was clean but nothing special, with towels, toilet paper, shower gel, a small table and chair, and a little fridge. I’d booked a double room with one bed and thought a balcony was included. When I messaged, the property said the balcony detail was part of a generic description used for all rooms. Check in advance if a balcony matters to you. The main downside was noise: the walls are thin, and sounds carry from neighbouring rooms and the hallways. Getting around was convenient, with a bus stop near the hospital just two minutes away, though the city centre is about a 30-40 minute walk. Check-in, however, was not smooth. No one was at reception when I arrived or during the day, and the main door code they sent was wrong, so I had to call the emergency number. I also messaged on WhatsApp a few times and got no reply. It’s a budget option if you mainly need somewhere to sleep and get ready before exploring Santander. It covers the basics and has handy public transport, but don’t expect much in the way of service, comfort or facilities.

The bathroom and TV were perfect, and the fridge worked fine, though it was noisy at night. The cleaning staff were lovely and everything was spotless, but the strong disinfectant smell upstairs was unpleasant and felt unhealthy. We could have eaten downstairs, but only found out near the end of our stay, which says a lot about how little information we were given. The TUS bus connection to the city centre is good, which is why we chose the hotel. The beds were fine, but we’d asked for a double and got two singles. We didn’t mind too much. In winter our room was stiflingly hot. I called service several times and was told on WhatsApp that we’d be moved, but that never happened. They said to turn the radiator left to switch it off, and even the cleaner tried, but it didn’t work. I eventually fixed it by turning it right. It was a real ordeal and ate up nearly the whole afternoon. There was no one at reception that day, and they couldn’t explain why the next day. I’ve also seen other reviews saying unexpected extra fees might be charged. That didn’t happen to us, but it does make the place feel less trustworthy. It’s a shame, since the hotel has potential, but they need more staff on site instead of relying so much on online services. Virtual platforms don’t always work for everything.
