The rooms at the back have lovely views, and you can ask for one with a balcony. The interior is stylish, with mostly classic vintage furniture. You can spot a few small repairs that show its age, but they add to the charm. Reception were friendly and helpful, and private parking is available for 8€. Very nice hotel for the rates.

We’ve stayed here before and came back again. It’s still as good as on our previous visits, and yes, we’d happily stay again. The hotel is handy for the ferry, about 10 minutes away, and the rooms are large and clean. The bathrooms are clean and well kept too. There are local restaurants across the road with a good variety, including a burger bar we like. If you’re after basic, well-priced food, they do the job.

The garden was the highlight, huge and lovely, with a real away-from-the-city feel. The old house is beautiful, and the rooms are large and very clean, a little dated and rustic but charming. We enjoyed our stay overall. Secure parking is on site for 8 Euros, though I don’t know where you’d park if you didn’t want to pay. Our ferry was delayed two hours by technical problems, so we got in after 11pm, when reception should have been closed. We’d let them know about the delay, and they stayed open for us, which was kind. The entrance was hard to find, possibly because of the heavy thunderstorm. Breakfast was basic, including that horrible orange juice you get in cheap hotels. We were told the city centre was a 7-minute walk, but it took about 15 minutes, unless they meant by moped. The thunderstorm kept us awake much of the night, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

It’s a lovely place to stay, and I’d come back. The breakfast was excellent and the hotel is very close to the port. The room got very warm overnight, so a fan would have helped.
