Oh no, it's closed! I came here a couple of years ago and had hoped to sleep here again, surrounded by that eucalyptus smell. It was one of the best campsites I've been to, simple and authentic. So sad it shut so early in the season. I couldn't relive those memories.

The on-site bar and restaurant was great for both breakfast and dinner, and the town has lots of bars and restaurants too. San Jose's lovely beach and town are only a few minutes away. The campsite is easy to spot from the main road, and our host welcomed us warmly and found a suitable pitch for our very large motorhome. Highly recommend this site.

They have a handy service at reception where you can charge your mobile, something I haven't often seen at other campsites. We cut our stay short because of the heat and very strong winds, and left at 4 in the afternoon, well after checkout. We were ready to pay for another night, but the receptionist kindly didn't charge us. It's a lovely little campsite with very friendly staff. We'll definitely return if we camp in that region again.

The centre of San Jose is just a five-minute walk away. This is a great campsite, with helpful, friendly staff and spacious bathrooms that are cleaned regularly. Each shower has a little foyer-like spot to put your things while you shower, which is a nice touch. All the water on site is drinking water.

It's a small, relaxed campsite with limited pitch sizes, though ours was plenty big enough. The gauze over the pitches helped keep things shady, which was great. Staff were super helpful, and the bar and restaurant on site were fab. The bathrooms were lovely and clean. San Jose beach, bars and restaurants are about a 10-minute walk away. Really good location, and I'd recommend it.
