Barceló Oviedo Cervantes

The bar and restaurant are what make this hotel extra special. They put out thoughtful little bowls of snacks, even sweets, and the restaurant food was fantastic. I ate there three evenings because I wanted to try more dishes. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the modern rooms were very clean and well laid out. Que bueno! Such a lovely hotel. I loved Oviedo and would stay here again if I visit.

The location is great and the rooms are quite big, but they need refurbishing. The tables, chairs, and cupboard were nearly falling apart. Breakfast choice, quality, and service were well below standard, so this feels more like a 4-star hotel than a 5-star one.

A perfectly lovely hotel and stay, in a great area, with no issues. Just keep your expectations in check: for me, it's a solid 3-star place, with nothing 5-star about it.

The parking was the worst part of the stay. The garage is tiny, with very tight bends, and I was so nervous about scratching our SUV that check-in was ruined for me. The hotel elevator doesn't stop on every floor, so after parking on P5 we had to carry our things up a flight of stairs. We avoided leaving the garage because cars coming up and down can barely pass each other. It was all I could think about on checkout day. The location is great, just steps from the main park and the sights in the old town. The bar and dining room are very pretty, the staff are lovely, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms have GREAT A/C. There’s no tea in the rooms and the coffee is terrible. You can't buy coffee or tea in the breakfast area unless you pay for breakfast, so you have to go outside.
