The pools were spotless and the other facilities were well looked after. Staff were friendly and always smiling, and our room was spacious and clean. We stayed in November, when the temperature was just right, and the hotel is right by the sea. It’s about a half-hour walk along the beach to Moro Jable. There was plenty of free street parking outside, and we always found a spot. Meals were pretty good, with the lunch and dinner menus changing a little each day, which was a nice change. Some dishes were a bit cold, though, and many of the hot lunch and dinner options were so salty they were almost inedible. We’d book again if the price was right.

There’s direct beach access, which was a real plus, and lots on offer if you like to keep busy, from tennis and archery to cycling. The all-inclusive drinks were convenient, with premium options available, though the buffet sometimes felt limited. Our room was spacious but a little dated. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a fun, relaxing stay with plenty to do.

The staff were fantastic, always polite, smiling, and keen to help. Food varied a little from day to day, and hygiene standards were high. The nursery and entertainment staff were kind and dedicated, and our son loved spending time there. They run two childcare sessions a day, 9:45-12:15 and 15:00-17:45, giving parents time to relax or try some activities. For sports, there are two beach volleyball courts, two tennis courts with a professional coach, an archery area, a heated pool for winter, and several more pools for warmer months. There’s also easy beach access and plenty to do, or you can just relax in the sun by the pool. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. One drawback was the AC, which doesn’t heat. In December, rooms that don’t face the sea can get chilly at night, around 16-17°C. Hopefully they’ll improve that. It was probably the best family holiday of my life. A solid four-star resort, and I highly recommend it.

The pools, views, and entertainment were great. The entertainment team and the women looking after the children were absolutely amazing, and the dancers were incredible. Ali was brilliant at keeping everyone moving on the dance floor. There was plenty to do during the day if you booked through the app, plus live music and entertainment late into the evening. It’s a very family-oriented hotel, and we met lovely guests. The lagoon pool is shallow along the long stretch, so children can splash around while you keep an eye on them from a lounger, or play in the splash area. The hotel is far from any town, which is a shame, but we still weren’t bored. Mateo, our housekeeper, was the kindest and best cleaner, very polite too. Crazy David at the plaza bar was always great with service. Some other staff, including people in the kitchen and bar, seemed miserable, as if working there were a punishment. That was the impression I got from quite a few people I spoke with. The food was a serious problem. At magico, the main restaurant, we had rotten food, undercooked chicken and pork, mouldy items in the kids’ area, spoiled cheese, and greenish ham. The food was much the same every day, and leftovers were reheated on following days until they were inedible. Some dishes were extremely salty, as if the salt was covering the taste of stale meat. Even some bread had mould. We all got food poisoning and had to see a doctor when we got home. My little one also got infected bug bites and is on antibiotics, waiting for another doctor visit because it’s still bad. The food felt dangerous. Surely the food agency needs to inspect this place. We found massive cockroaches on our last night, along with lots of tiny, dot-like ants. We were awake packing that night, so maybe that’s why we hadn’t noticed them earlier. The mattress was unbelievable too. Take off the bedding and you can see what state it’s in. It’s a shame, because if the food hygiene and quality improved and the bugs were dealt with, we’d be happy to return. The entertainment team works really hard to make sure people of all ages enjoy their stay.
