Pensión Bar Plaza

The place was noisy, and there was no fan or fridge. Anita, the owner, was unfriendly and seemed unable to communicate well with guests who don't speak Spanish. After a long walk on El Camino in 40°C heat, I arrived at 3 pm and discovered she'd given me the wrong address, so I had to walk back to find another location. Later I accidentally left my key inside the room and called her to open the door. She spoke Spanish throughout, and her rudeness and body language were really unpleasant. She needs to work on her customer service and English.

There was no Wi-Fi on the premises and no laundry service. The shared bathroom serves several rooms; the shower head wasn't very good, and its handle was broken in the wall. The toilet needed more cleaning. The bed sheets were clean, but the floor wasn't and the bed cover was dirty. It might do for one night on the Camino, but otherwise I wouldn't choose it.

I slept well in the quiet second building, tucked away in a corner about a block from the other one but still right in the center. The owner was nice and asked me to message when I was nearby so she could direct me and meet me there. My room was cozy and clean, with a comfortable bed, and the shared bathroom was nice and clean too. The corridors were a bit dark.

The rooms were tiny and the mattresses rock hard. There was no laundry basin or drying rack, which made the price feel a bit high.
