Hotel Almudaina

The rooftop terrace has an amazing sunset view, but get there early if you want a seat. The receptionist was friendly, though I didn’t find the bar staff on the roof terrace friendly. Breakfast was included and decent. The coffee machine and hot water were a nightmare, and the coffee was so-so. I couldn’t drink a second cup. It’s a decent 3-star hotel, definitely not a 4-star.

We loved spending time on the rooftop seating area by the Sky restaurant, looking out over the marina and cathedral. A late afternoon drink or cocktail there is lovely, either in the sun or before dinner. The hotel is central to all amenities, and most major attractions are an easy walk away. Our room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom stocked with soaps, shampoo and body lotion. It was cleaned daily. Breakfast had a wide range of hot and cold options to suit different tastes. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’d really recommend staying here in Palma.

The hotel’s in a great spot for town, and the rooms were very clean. The main drawback is how easily you hear other guests coming and going. One small gripe: the coffee is granulated Nescafé sachets. At this price, I’d have expected at least a Nespresso machine.

The breakfast buffet was extensive and good, and it’s a lovely hotel in a great location. It was far too warm, though, so we had to keep the windows open, and check-in was painfully slow.
