Boogaloo

The rooms aren't the biggest, but I had a pretty good stay last summer. Already looking forward to coming back this year!

The room itself was nice and clean, but getting any rest was difficult. Noise carried through the thin doors and walls: shouting, screaming, doors slamming, and even water running in other rooms at all hours. The hallways carried sound easily too. There was a quiet policy after 11 PM, but staff didn't enforce it. When I complained, they were polite but didn't help. Most guests were very loud and inconsiderate. I wouldn't recommend staying here if sleep matters to you. There is no lift.

We paid 120 euros for 4 nights, which was cheap compared with other places available nearby. For that price, the bed and shower were adequate, and that's about what I expected. The stay could have been nice if it hadn't been so noisy. It's adults only, and the rules say to keep the noise down after 10:30 PM, but doors slammed hard all night and people spoke too loudly for the thin walls.

The staff were really friendly, and the place was clean, so it worked fine for the two nights we needed on our Ballermann trip. The beach and places like Megapark and Bierkönig were easy to reach on foot. It was a bit warm in the breakfast room, but with more than 30 degrees outside, that was okay. Nights were quite loud, both outside and from other guests, and the walls don't block much noise. I don't think people come to Arenal to rest anyway ;) We'd book again.
