Hotel Bordoy Cosmopolitan

I booked at the last minute for one night. The location was nice and the receptionists were kind. There wasn’t a double room available, so I ended up in a single. It was small but had all the accessories I needed. I tried the very early breakfast, though the choices were limited. I didn’t have time to use facilities like the pool.

There’s a bus 23 right outside, and buses 25 and the airport bus are nearby. The breakfast buffet is good, the staff are very helpful, and the room was cleaned well each day. The rooms are small, with the sink and table together beside the bed, which makes it hard to keep things organized. There’s only one little stool, so to sit in the room you may end up on the balcony. The walls are thin, so bring earplugs in high season. The toilet and large shower are in separate spaces. Some people may like that, but I prefer having the sink, toilet, and shower together in one bathroom.

We got good value for the money, with food that was always cooked well, plenty of choices for different diets, and very good service from the front desk, room service, and waiters. The room was tidy, the sheets and towels were freshly cleaned, and the shower was very spacious. The room layout felt odd at first, with the sink and mirror on a counter in the bedroom right by the entrance, but we got used to it quickly. The faucet wasn’t installed properly and was very loose. The reception team were welcoming and consistently friendly, and the entrance hall looked nice. There’s a bus stop right outside, and it’s about a 15-minute walk to the beach. Bus 23 takes you to the historic train station for the Tren de Sóller, as well as to the central station. Tickets cost 2 euros around Palma. It’s a good getaway if you want a comfortable, quiet, pleasant stay.

It’s close to the airport, and the rooms are a decent size with modern furnishings. Food choices are limited, and drinks aren’t included in the all-inclusive plan.
